: She asked for other peoples experiences in bringing their gliders to school and other places.

: Some of you are so quick to show off that you do not even read the post!

: She did not ask to be slammed, she did not even set herself up for it.

: I think you all owe her an apology.

Hey - What's the deal with this? I did read Jessica's post, and instead of

showing off, I was trying to give her my experience (which she asked for) and

help her stay out of trouble with her school and her father.

: : I'm in 7th grade and want to know if anybody has ever brought their

glider to school in a belt pack or purse.

I did take my glider to school - as a teacher - and that was the experience I

related. She did not ask only for positive experiences, and mine did not work

out too well. She also didn't say she only wanted other kids to answer...

Furthermore, Jessica said her dad already told her not to take it to school!

: : But my dad won't let me bring her to school! Maybe one day I'll sneak her

in! Nobody would know!!!

I think it would be really irresponsible of any adult to advise Jessica to

disobey her dad and sneak the glider in. In fact, I was trying to think of a

way she could take the glider to school and not get in trouble...which a child

with a small animal would certainly do in my school. Maybe Jessica wasn't asking for our opinion, but it sounded to me as if

she was looking for support in disobeying her dad. Sorry ya'll took it as a

slam, because I certainly did not intend it that way. At the same time, I don't feel

I owe her an apology for telling her if it were me, I would not go against my dad. I don't feel

that is showing off, just giving sound adult advice.
