How old is your glider, Olivia? Mine is 3-1/2months old and in a growth spurt or something, so he is hyper and won't calm down and sleep in a pouch like he did at first. He is so little that I have not been able to find a leash that is not way too heavy for him to walk around in, but I have lots of other critters and with my iguana and rabbit, leashes work great. From all the info I have been able to compile, it seems like the best leashes are the figure 8 leashes. The advantage to those is that they don't allow that gliding membrane to fully expand, so your glider is less likely to jump away from you for a long distance. Of course be careful of this; make sure you let them do some little test-jumps in a safe area so that they learn that their gliding membrane isn't functional with the leash on. Otherwise some serious falls could result. Good luck! Kim P.S. The best leashes I've found are ferret leashes or lizard leashes (they are the smallest) but be careful about the ones that have the little screw-tightener, because they can slip and choke. If you check out Bev Oakes' "Glider Gulch" homepage in Texas, she has leashes that she designed, and she would probably overnight them to you if you needed her to. She seemed really nice when I talked to her on the phone.
