: What is exactly wrong with galvanized wire? 2+ years ago when I got my first glider and built her cage, the info
: on the internet was basically that wire was the only way to go. Have there really been cases of metallic
: poisining, or is it something elsewrong with the wire? My gliders have never had a problem with the wire, but I would hate to be
: harming them without knowing! I have only read somewhat unreliable rumors about the wire, could anyone give me
: more information please?

Unfortunately, I have yet to see any real studies done on this, so I'm just going on rumors... Anyhow, the galvanized wire wouldn't be too much of a problem as long as it was thick enough so the glider could get a firm grasp on it and also assuming the glider doesn't chew on the wire a lot.
