I didn't want to chase crickets and june bugs all over my apartment, so I use a plastic cup. I just show my babies what is inside the cup and they climb in after them.

I bought kingworms instead of mealworms, at the suggestion of someone else that had a glider. But mine only ate them once or twice and never wanted anymore. Who knows why. I was just as satisfied, though, because they give me the creeps!

: Warm weather is on it's way and with it comes bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. Anyone have bug stories to share? I know that Bourbon feeds Crane Flies (manowars?) to her gliders and they go crazy for them.
: Last year my daughter (then 7) caught a June Bug for the gliders. She brought it in and threw it into their cage. It took one look at all those salivating gliders and flew back out. Straight at my face! I did not see it coming because i was typing away on the computer (much like I am now). I screamed and jumped out of my chair knocking it backwards. After that I declared NO MORE JUNE BUGS! My daughter had dissolved into fits of laughter.
: I thought I was doing good when I learned to feed meal worms without using tweezers.
: Some people freeze the June Bugs.
: Anyone have any bug stories to share?

: BOURBON - tell them how you do the Crane Flies for your gliders!!
