Message: In Reply to: Mealworms...is there a trick to this? posted by Libbie on March 02, 1999 at 12:25:06: If you let the mealies warm up from being in the frige and hold them between your index finger and thumb before your glider s it will usually get their attention and they will want to catch and eat it, if they havnt tried them yet you might; as someone else has suggested before me ,try cutting them into smaller pieces and placing them on top the food so they get a taste for the mealworms, gradually increasing the size of the pieces until left whole, and usually the gliders learn what to do with them and love to get them alive as treats. : I have a question about feeding mealworms, should they be : alive and moving when I feed them? The reason I ask is that : my 2 gliders just sit and watch the mealworms wiggle in the : bowl and then give me a look of "you expect me to eat that, : it moved!". I've tried putting them in the fridge and the : freezer before trying to feed them to Roxy and Kane and have : had no success. Any suggestions? : Libbie
