The warm weather is my babies favorite time of the year. That means even more exercise than normal. We leave the porch light on and go outside and catch all the Man O'Wars (those big giant looking mesquitos) that we can and we put them in the cage, after we get about 20 in there we stop. When it is time to put Baybe and Smokey back into their cage they have all these flying treats that they can actually stalk and catch on their own. They can't out due the fact they are too stupid to close their wings. moths are usually hand fed as well as bettles and junebugs because they fall through the wire mesh. We live on the river so bugs are as prominant as water is here. I have two American Express Gliders and they are seldom in their cage for more than 5 or 6 hours after 10:00 they have free run of our living room till they go into their cage. so any bugs that may fly into our home is caught by our living bug whackers. Life is so sweet bug free. The best lok I ever got was from a woman that saw me put a june bug into my pocket while at a yard sale.. I ask her how much she wanted to charge me for the june bug and she said i can come and get all i can fit into my pocket at anytime. Then and only then did I show her my Baybe. I don't know which tramatized her more the sight of putting a junebug into my pocket or Baybe herself. Enjoy Gods's little creatures, my Baybe and Smokey does.
