Luckily for us mom's it doesn't last as long as it does with our kids....Grrrr.....lol Hope this helps.... JO : : : Ok My glider is 8 months old and yesterday he started doing something strange...he is bitting, crabbing and is acting afraid? I am so confused.. I have had him for a month and a bit and I can't understand.. last week he let me take him out of the cage without crabbing and now he is all weird and he also barks (kinda like a small puppy) at night? I don't know why? If I come out and turn a light on he stops so what is going on?? please help? I love my little glider and don't want anything to happen to him !! : It sounds like your glider has reached the adolescent phase of his life. You should also see him begin to mark his surroundings by rubbing himself against them and you too as he lays claim to you. The barking is natural and most of the gliders do either stop or decrease their barking when a little light is provided. I don't think that you have anything to worry about.
