I was told by my breeder that those with brown color are due to their sleeping hole. While I have only had my glider for a few days, so I can't say I've tested this, but it is good to have a "sleeping hole" that absorbs moisture and breaths, say wood or cloth. The reason adult gliders turn brown is because they are absorbing the moisture, say from a ceramic or plastic sleep hole, where the moisture cannot get out. Hope this helps
