: I saw that too, it was so cute, but it was sad that it had to die. Does any one know how gliders get nuemmonia??
: I was watching Animal Planet last night while studying for a test. I was shocked to actually see a show with a sugarglider. (not in the wild). On Emergency Vets they had a girl with a sick sugar glider. They said he had Nuemmonia. (i probably didn't spell that right). I am pretty sure it was the hospitals first sugar glider because they didn't seem to know much about the little guys. They gave it some antibiotics and were feeding it Gerbers baby food. It was soo cute watching them feed it getting it all over him. Ha Ha. The glider was rather brown in color as opposed to the one I saw in person. I would have thought that it was a wild caught but it acted rather tame. Maybe due to the sickness. All the effort was in vain however since it almost died in the hospital, but they massaged the heart back, but later died at home. How Sad!!! I felt soo bad to see an actual show on one and in the end result it died. I was just wondering if this happens often, or at all?? Do they get sick often? Can they get sick form humans?? I just thought that it was sad to finally see a sugar glider, and they portray it's death. I know that's what the show is about. I just wish that they would show more good videos of HEALTHY sugar gliders. Tim
