Subject: A problem child... Posted by Elwin Bullard on March 11, 1999 at 14:12:02: Two gliders could not be more polar opposites than our Patsy and Edina. They were pouch mates although Eddie was actually born about a week after Patsy. Eddie is gentle and loving and cuddly. She will sit and let you pet or curl up for a worm in your pocket. Patsy is a psycotic demon. She is bigger, more aggresive, and meaner than any other glider we have. They were supposed to be kept as part of our stock but hubby's patience is wearing thin. He is ready to sell her to a pet store. Don't freak, I'm not going to let that happen. We have been keeping her seperate from her family group and she has started letting hubby pet her in the cage but as soon as you put her back with anyone else she becomes her old gripy self. As a baby she was the more exploretory of the two. Out of the nest, running around as soon as her eyes opened. She has made a great sitter with her younger siblings. She really is a super sugar glider. Just not pet material I am beginning to think. We need a release to wild program for gliders like Patsy. Anyone have any options or opinions? I ha e thought about trading her to a bigger operation to get a mate for her brohters. Anyone know what happens if the menage is two boys and one girl?
