Did anyone else see the article in the February 8th People about the lady with the pet library? She was rescuing animals and amassed a huge collection of pot bellied pigs, hampsters, rabbits, etc. In order to solve the problem of people buying the pets in the first place, she set up a library system where parents and teachers can check out pets for 2 weeks and learn about the amount of care it takes. What a great way to discourage people from buying on impulse and to research first! And all those animals who would be homeless have a good place to be!
