It is normal for gliders to suck on the juices from the food and spitting out small half moons of uneatten food. I would be more concerned with her bowel movements. Does she have any at all, or have they changed? She could very well have an obstruction which could kill her. Is her stomach bloated, if so it is an obstruction. I would also get her to a vet ASAP! Only he is qualified to help her. And do it soon.

Gliders being wild animals, have the ability of hiding illness until they are really sick. Please don't chance it.

Hope this helps....

: Our 6 month old sugar glider has stopped eating. My two boys and I are so worried about her. We have tried offering her her favorite things: Mango, Papaya, Eggs, Watermelon, Cantelope, Grapes, Alvacado--all fresh. She'll lick at it at first, then stop. The eggs she'll take into her mouth and chew with vigor, giving us hope, then spit it out.She seems to be sleeping more and loosing some weight. This started a day or two ago. The smell of the food is appealing to her, making me think of possibly an obstruction or something. Can anyone out there help us?
