I would think that the cage would need some major sterilization before using it for your glider. You never know what bacteria might be lurking there. Also, the wood would absorb waste, remeber a healthy glider must be a clean glider. I would recommend using vynal or enamel coated cages, because if it is a galvantized metal one, the urine will eat it up and it will rust.

: A friend of mine offered me a large cage, that was used for their Iguana, for our Sugar Glider. It is made out of that square wire (1/2 inch), (aluminum), and wood. It has some other aluminum sheets over some of the wooden parts. Is this type of cage ok for Sugar Gliders? Why or why not?
