as far as ventialtion, several small holes on the entrance side helps. use some type of bedding material to help absorb the urine, etc. plain, unscented, undyed, unmoisturized tissue, brisky has a product, extra (scrap) pieces of cloth, etc. make good nesting material. never newspaper! ink is very bad for them, not to mention the noxious smell you get from the ink/urine combo. if you go with sometype of container that will have an entrance hole on it, if you put it about two inches-two and a half inches up from the base of the box, the joeys can't get out and mom can still take a stroll. hope that helps. and if zena is preggers, congrats!
