Sarah. I heard a lot of different outlooks on this issue. I heard of people feeding around ten a day. I also heard that the shell if difficult to digest. I really don't know. I guess the safe road would to just give one every now and then for the protien value. I don't think however, that they are any different from eggs or other things high in protien. hope this helps.
