The "nectar" sold in stores isn't nectar at all just thickened fruit juice.
The nectar most owners use is Gliderade or Lory Nectar. Gliderade is a powder you mix with water that is meant to simulate the nectar sugar gliders eat in the wild. It is a modified version of Lory Nectar. Lories and lorikeets are Australian birds that eat nectar from some of the same flowers sugar gliders do.
