One of my babies is a hisser, too. It almost sounds like he has a sore throat or Laryngitis.

I am baffled. Mine does it alot. In fact, I rarely hear him 'crab', he just hisses.

I am interested in finding out why, also.

: Just recently, Eos has started hissing - not the short, annoyed hiss that is almost a crab, but a long, low hiss. She did this once when the cat was nearby - so I thought maybe it was a scared noise. But then she has also done it when I take her out of my pocket and set her down to potty and after I put her in her cage and walk away. Does anyone else's glider do this? What is she trying to tell me?
