I would use vinegar and water, or you can use 5 parts water to 1 part bleach. Make sure you really rinse the cage well so their is no residue.

: : : i use vinegar and lime juice in water and a sponge with a scrubby to clean mine......the cage is too large to move intot he shower....i clean it every couple weeks...then a good cleaning once a month or so....probably should be done more though.
