First of all the Glider has its own personality, it is never going to be the kind of glider YOU want it to be unless you're the kind of human-pet Mia wants you to be.
As a newbie glider person myself, I let Fuzzy tell me what he likes, dislikes, wants etc. However, they can learn to take advantage of that. The ancients here preach "take the bite" I imagine this goes for crabbing too. Take the crab but continue what you're doing. Don't let Mia think she can scare you away from everything you attempt.
