At this point I would just make sure the mommy is getting pleanty of protiens in her diet. The Joey will nurse for 5 weeks more at least. Then when the joey starts to wean from its mother it will begin to eat what she eats. If for some reason the mother rejects the joey, than you will have to find a replacement food sourse, by giving it "formula" and pureed foods.

: Our little joey just emerged from the pouch and I was wondering if there was anything special I should be doing for the baby? Also, do I need to provide any soert of special diet for the baby when it begins to roam around the cage on its own? The baby's eyes are still closed at this point.
