do you know the exact age of your glider? I would think that it is aggod sign that your glider is eatting on its own. Unfortunately, I have never hear of the tail thing. Thanks for letting me learn something new.

: Where did you get your gliders? It is true...a glider who's tail isn't fully fluffed probably isn't old enough to be weaned. How old were you told they were? Gliders should not be weaned until they are aprox 6 wks old and are eating on their own.
