In spite of what it sounds like your dad isn't an ogre. he is looking out for the best interest of you and your Roo. We got a second glider in case we don't have the time to spend with ours. We considered a female for companionship and a male for babies. We chose the male. but we are adults and this is our house. Your dad should really be considered in this choice as well as it is his house. But one is fine as long as you are spending time and attention on her.. I personally don't like the borrowing of a glider for breeding purposes because what if your glider falls in love with him? Then you take him from her? You may end up with a depressed glider. Also what if it the other way around. what if they absolutly hate each other? When I picked out my male I let Baybe pick him. She is the one that has to live with him. : My glider, Roo, means the world to me, almost! She does not walk upsides down on the top of the cage in boredom like some people say she should. She gets up imediatly when I call her name. All I have to say is come on Roo!!!! Rooey, come her girl, and out she comes, ready to play. Does this mean she loves playing with me, and thinks I am a much bigger play mate glider? I can't get her a mate, cause my dad is not about to pay for a male, plus the babies they produce. I have to get a male if I want one. Oh, and this person I know said that I could borrow her wild male to breed, then give it back. If she had a female baby, could I keep it with her? Or would she eventually reject it. Do u this is a good idea?
