: If I were a glider I'd really hate living in quarters I couldnt climb on, since that is their nature. Most people on this page seem to oppose aquarium style housing, feeling that smooth sides are kinda cruel to one who likes to climb. You may want to go back to a cage, or you'll need to add lots and lots of climbing branches, no point in having your baby upset with you.

In regard to a play-mate, I agree wholeheartedly. In my OPINION, gliders should be kept in pairs. It's easier on the owner, and is good for the gliders mental/emotional health to have company from its own species.

Dont get me wrong, I realize there are a LOT of folks who just have one glider, and can/do spend the appropriate amount of time with it. But this animal will be with us for a LONG time, and we ALL experience periods in our lives
where, for one reason or another, the pet is NOT given the attention that it's used to, and that will be detrimental to a gliders mental/emotional well-being

Hope this helps ~LOL~
