I've had mine for almost a year. He plays all night, I think. He's up every night about 10 p.m. and going to sleep when I wake around 6 or 7. He also knows he gets a breakfast treat in the morning, so he may go to sleep earlier and get back up when he hears me in the shower. Also, when I first got him, he did sleep a lot more. The more familiar he got with me, the more he wanted to be awake.
