Before you assume that they can't fly, check with your travel agent or the airline.I worked as a travel agent for over a year and had client that wanted to take her small puppy inside the aircraft. Special arrangements had to be made, like contacting the airline to make sure there were no other animals traveling inside the aircraft. Delta allows only 2, and they had to have a carrier that fix under the seat. I think the cost for this was 50.00 each way plus the carrier if you didn't have one. And if you'r serious about doing it, make the arrangement well enough in advance. The airlines will co-operate alot more if they have advanced notice. I hope this helps you out.: : : Some airlines wont allow them to fly at all. : Others will require they be housed in the cargo area. This IS really really bad and stressful for the glider, as well as you :-( : If the flight is during the animals sleep time, some people sneak them on-board in a beltpouch or pocket, praying desperately that the animal will stay quiet/still or remain asleep for the trip. : It could be really really bad news for you if it doesnt -- not to mention for the glider, they could take your baby and put it down, then wouldnt you just feel REALLY AAWFUL:-( : Should you get lucky enough to have an airline that will let you bring your sg on-board, you will need a special carry-on or small cage. :
