Definately a plastic ball-kind, hamsterwheel would be my SG's first choice for a toy! Also,for some weird reason, used tissues! or anything he can shred! Here's just a tip on a grand nesting box idea.

Clean an empty diaper wipe box out (the kind with a hinged lid) and peel all the stickers off. Cut a sqare door about 2 in. wide and long into a side. Poke small holes into the bottom of the box (for drainage). Poke hole through the back of the box and use twist ties to latch onto cage. And there you have it! A nesting box that is super easy to get sleeping SGs out of, etc.
