When we first got our gliders they smelled for about 3 weeks. The very first mistake we made was cleaning the cage too frequently and with too strong of a cleaning solution. After much "smelly" aggravation, we only wipe the cage down once a week with a vinegar and water solution. I have noticed that my males, tend to not rescent the cage with the vinegar solution.

Now both males will let off a "skunky" musk scent during mating time, which just last for a few miniutes.

Hope this helps....
