: Well I have recently got 2 female gliders, they came with a cage a parakeet cage and I really want them to have a bigger cage, they seem content in the cage that they have. I was wondering if anyone has built a cage out of plexi glass? And if so can they please give me some directions, I really do not like wire cages the gliders tend to make a big mess and the smell is awfull. I hear that the plexi cuts down on the smell and mess.

The smell will be worse in a plexi-glass cage. There is not
enough circulation in the first place. Smell is not a problem
if you keep the cage clean. That is change letter often
and scrub the cage wkly in hot water with a littel bleach
and rinse, rinse, rinse.

Neutering a male cuts the odor a lot too by the way.
