Ok i'm not an expert but what your doing sounds good. I do think that age will depend on how you treat the Glider. I have had Fred for a month or so and I handled him from the start. With my other glider Ginger it took me a week to get her to cut her crabbing down a bit. But i also picked her up right away. If your gliders are older that my babies (mine are oop like 9 to 12 weeks or so) I suggest that you do as you are. However if your glider's are younger they might be able to handle my way.
