I mean, it isn't difficult to cut up fruit or cuddle a cutie. But as well, they need love and care, and just as human babies need physical contact to fully develop, so do gliders. They are not just "a pet." I have a corn-snake and a parakeet as well, and neither of them require much more than a "Hi, guys" in the evening, and food and water. But my glider requires all of my spare time. The nice thing is, just as with any hobby or interest, you will want to pay lots of attention to your glider. If he can't be the focus of your life, then you should get him a pal. My Foster is everything to me... and I to him. I'm the same way as they said on an earlier post.. I go get Foster as soon as I come in the door from work, before I talk to my husband. I have had cats, dogs, mice, hamsters, snakes, iguanas, rabbits, and birds, and I would never have bothered with any of them if I had had a sugar glider first. For me, he's the perfect pet. I hope it works out as well for you. Good luck,
