Hey!

No babies in sight yet. My understanding is that one day you will have to look twice and see a leg prtruding from the pouch, Then with in a couple more the joeys entire body will be out. I have been watching Juliet very carefully, as usual, I am concerned about her. She has been acting strangely the last couple of days. She has stopped begging for proteins and seems pretty finicky in her eating. I half wonder if their are still joeys because of her strange behaviour. But as a first time Grandma, I am a mess with her. I have gone from; she's gonna have joeys, to maybe not, so many times I have lost count. I finally have come to terms that with all of their past diet troubles, that I can only keep my fingers crossed that all will be ok. I check her tummy every day, still no feet in sight. She is still nice and fat and her pouch is semi firm. If I have calculated right, they should be here no later than May 5. Then we need to pray that the joey's are healthy.

I have come to the conclusion, that if things keep going bad for her I will have Romeo neutered, and let them live out a happy existance without causing anymore harm to their health. I have been advised to give them a year to settle in, but I am not sure I will let her go though many joey losses. They both are looking wonderful though. Juliet's fur is nice and soft and Romeo is trimming down some. They are my babies, I am forever watching them constantly. They seem very happy. Both Gliders have gotten much more comfortable with us. Both will remain with us and let us pet them for a short while. They have both come such a long way.

Now as for Cleo and Caesar.... they are doing beautifully. Cleo is doing very well with her joey's. She does not beg nearly as much as Juliet for those mealworms. She is still a month or so out fom the joeys coming out of pouch. Caesar is a real pip! He is what I would consider happy go lucky. He is forever shocking me when he leaps on my back, making me jump. I think he thinks its a great game. It is truly amazing the differences in these two sets of gliders. The wild caught being much more passive and larger. And the Captive breds, being so much smaller and more carefree. At least Caesar is. Cleo is still very leary of us. She will take food from us and let us pet her, but you cannot get her to come to you. I admit, I haven't spent as much time with her lately. She seems more timid since the joeys.

I am really excited that all is well for you and your gliders. It is wonderful to experience, their pregnancies and share what is happening with each of our gliders progress. I keep everything logged and the changes that I see in them.

Wishing you the best of luck with those joeys....

JO

: Hi... just wondering if you've had any joeys leave the pouch, or stick any parts out yet... I had a thrilling moment yesterday, Bumble was in her pouch sleeping and I took it down to give her some meal worms ( she cant get enuf LOL ) and I had her laying in the pouch and on her back.. so I could see her belly while she munched, she moved alittle and the pouch opened just a bit, and inside was a definate glider baby body!!! I think it was the back of the head, hard to tell but I think I discerned alittle ear!!!! I'm sooo thrilled, I think she's only got the one..but like I said its so hard to tell with her!

: Hope yours are doing great as well... I think Sassy is w/ Joey also but hers are not as far along, and I also had a new edition ( in a seperate cage ) a "rescue" ( although I bought him ) young male... he's soo cute and not too afraid, going to start bonding tonite, wish me luck!

: Sincerely
: Candi... Sassy, Bumble, Max, Geo, and little joeys
