Ryan, There has been many , many discussions regarding diets. so let me try to rehash as much as possible.
1. Brisky's alone is 100% balanced with the 25/75 ratio.. If you feed briskys be sure you have plenty of fresh water available at all times. Also if you feed anything else with it, be sure you try to maintain the balance. Feeding only fruits and vegables with briskeys can be fatal. You also must balance it with aded proteins. Some offer briskys with other balanced diets.. That too is okay.
2. Debbie Dillon devised a diet that is rotaional, fruits one day, veggies, the next, proteins .. etc...she offers briskys with that.
3. Leadbeaters is also another very popular diet that allows for variety, that you mix into a blender and freeze , scoop out as needed.
4. Mazori omnivore is another popular feed , I believe they offer that with other foods as well.
Can they over eat? well sure, but is is best if we as the owners watch what we feed them, Try to avoid, fats, salts, refine sugar, "NO chocolate".
I tell people to have fun, try as many different foods as they can to see what their glider likes, and to keep in mind that what they don't eat one day, they may eat the next.. Keep the pieces about the size of a piece of corn or a pea.

Good luck Living, Loving, Gliding with my gliders..
