The breeder I got my pair off of gave me a 5 oz. can of "mother's helper" by Lambert Kay. It is a milk replacer. It is ok for opossums. Says specifially. The breeder(of 8 years) said when you feel the glider doesnt look well, to give this milk to them. It is intended for baby animals who need milk but cannot because maybe mother has died. It is also for small animals like: racoons, squarrels and others. You can find it at any petstore(im sure of) probably in the cat department. I paid $2.00 for it. It also states that it can be given to adults everyday that is lactating, pregnant, and convalescing. It is also for gerbils, hamsters, chipmunks and guinea pigs. Like I said, opossums too. It states short term protection from diseases. If the animal refuses to eat consult a vet immediately. And ideally should be weighed every 2 days to check that it is being adequately nourished. I hope this can help you out. If you can weigh your glider everyday to make sure : okay guys, it did take courage to post this but I have a large problem. see, I found Roo and a part of her tail was bloody, why? I do not know. she was sleeping in her food dish which had leftover fruit in it that she did not eat from the nite before. well, roo is barely moving, she is cold, and if you touches her she crabs, latches onto a finger and bites down HARD, for like 10 seconds straight. She is not eating any fruit or yogurt or water. She has a large galvanized wire cage...and I dont know the symptoms of that wire disease or whatever...but please help. right now she is wrapped up in a fleece cloth laying flat out not curled up... : Jess
