: Here is what I do. I know it is so confussing, I worried too that my gliders were getting the correct ratio of foods. So what I found was Debbie Dillion and a rotational diet. If You look at the total balance as a 100%, you would feed your gliders, fruit two days, Vegs one day and protien one day. I also feel that they should get more protien than the 25%, so I usually add some protien on fruit day 2. That way the gliders get the variety that they crave, but the right balance without them leaving essential foods. Maybe someone more versed, can help you figure how much to give on a daily basis.

: Hope this helps....

: : Someone asked me how to figure out the protein % in a gliders diet. (I know they need a 25% protein diet) and (75%fruit/vegies)I honestly don't know:( I feed mine the leadbeaters and fruits and vegies, gliderade, mealworms, I alternate each night, sometimes I give it to them all and let them have a smorgasboard. I mean like if I buy mixed vegies, and I put out 1 tablespoon how much protein is that? Same as fruit, I am sure it makes a difference if it is apples or bananas, strawberries, mango, papay, what about applesauce, or fat free yogurt? The gliderade the mix is 5 to 1 I can put out that much and it's gone in nothing flat, so I usually double the reciepe, I am feeding 9 gliders.

Hello,
I am not too sure about how much to feed 9 gliders, quite a bit though :)
There is a food nutrient chart in the back of Caroline MacPherson's book "Sugar Gliders, A Complete Pet Owners Manual". This chart shows several different fruits and vegetables, and it breaks down the amounts of calories, protein, carbohydrates, total fat, calcium and phosphorus.

I hope that helps a bit.
