Letting Mika run free in my room greatly helped getting her to trust me. It also helped her with the stress, knowing she would have time to play when I wouldn't chase her. The 2nd night I had her, she kept running around the room and jumping everywhere. Her routine was to run around the cage for a little while...jump near me on the bed and quickly run over the side away from me...run upside down on the bottom of the bed...run along the sides for awhile...come up top...see me and sneak toward my arm...she'd nip me on the arm once and back up...then nip me again (not hard, just barely to see if I was awake)...jump on my back, and run two quick circles...scurry to the other side of the room and watch me from behind the desk.

It took several weeks for me to take the gloves off completely, but the freedom did give her the opportunity to check me out on her terms. In your room, it really doesn't take that much to glider-proof. Just make sure she can't leave, look around a little for dangers. When you first wake up, the first thing you should do is find where your glider is. If you don't know, think before each thing you do.
