I know you are as excited/scared over this first time " mommy " thing w/ the gliders as I am... so thought I'd tell you exactly what I've seen the past few days. Like you're saying mine were just big, I was like you going back and forth trying to decide if there really were any joeys or not. About 3 days ago Bumble ( who I was pretty sure had babies since I could see pouch movement now and then from the side ) was laying in her cage pouch and I took it down to give her some meal worms she was laying on her back munching and she moved so that her pouch opened alittle... and I could see a part of the joey ( back I'm assumig cuz it was striped!!! ) I was soo excited then she moved and it closed back up and she looked the same, but this was my first real proof of babies... in the last couple days her pouch has stretched so that its "open" at all times, and I can see the babies head, body, little legs sticking out.. yesterday the tail was ( scarying looking though, it looked like a blk worm, not fluffy yet LOL ) and shes' also crabbing at it ( them? ) so I think the baby will come out any time now, like I said it was starting to be 1/2 out last nite... Sassy on the other hand I've constantly been going back and forth on if she is with joey or not, yes I could see the two "peanut" looking bumbs but no movement that I could see, and shes jumping around and going crazy like always... but getting bigger by the hour it seemed ( they seem to grow so fast the last couple days for what I'm experiencing )well she was laying in the nesting box and on her back ( they also seem to sleep on their backs when they are getting close ) and the pouch was open alittle.. it looked like blk worms inside and I was freaking out thinking she had something majorly deformed in the pouch... then alittle perfect leg/arm poked out for a min... ( since I later saw Bumbles joey's tail I know thats what I saw LOL ) and now today her pouch isn't as open as Bumbles but it is also starting to stretch into the always open position... mind you she's STILL jumping around like a crazy woman... hold on joeys!!! I'm still worried about Sassy though, as I told you before she supposedly had a joey in the pouch right before I got her, they saw the little legs etc and then it was gone... so I'm making sure they get plenty of calcium and protein ( which they tear up like theres no tomorrow ) and crossing my fingers! Keep you posted... best luck with your gliders and any joeys... if you have any other questions post or email me.. I'll help as best as I can since this is my first time also... just remember one day you'll think there aren't any joeys then the next you'll see them like I did! Sincerely,
