To be quite honest I didn't notice that part. I was too busy being upset at the picture of a glider being held up by his tail and the food bowls filled with nuts and bird seed! Eeek!
They really should revise that edition, but when it was written, that's what people were doing. Glider info has already changed so much, and I'm sure it will continue to change. That's why I continue to read everything I can and talk to other owners about what works for them. Sometimes the best knowledge doesn't come from books! :)
