: : I talked to a breeder named Flo Perry a little whil ago and I found out that she has over 1,100 breeding pairs. I think it is obvious that she is just in it for the profit. When I went to her house she had about 32 joeys in a very, very small cage(about 18"W X 6"T X 12"D). It was very horrifying. She lives in Leona, Tx (Houston area). Just wanted to warn any potential buyers in the houston area.

: Who helped write the books on gliders from her side of it.She is USDA licensed and has 2 full time employees working 10 hours per day 7 days a week.

: i have been there numerous times and the glider room was very clean.(even though i came unanounced).

: I never saw a empty water bottle and she doesnot use auto waterers like most big operations.She said they were too messy.Also all the food dishes are changed out and cleaned daily.The trays are cleaned daily.

: She was one of the first to get into gliders and had to learn what worked fast or lose one heck of an investment real quick.

: Before yall start knocking and judging go see the operation.If it werent for people like her that invested 10s of thousands of dollars gliders may have gone the way of some of the other exotics or would be so expensive YOU could not afford one

: They did start out at $600.00 each when you could get one but people like her got the price down low enuf that if you really want a glider you can get one.

: Ya'll need to be thankfull she did so much behind the scenes work she will never getb credit for.
