Gliders do have a smell to them, especially the males. They also require a very varied diet of fruits & veggies plus a lot of other things. I would seriously consider whether you have the time to take care of one because they are a lot of work. This doesn't mean they are bad pets but I would rather you not get one now then get one and not be able to spend the appropriate amount of time caring for them or just being with them. I am assuming you are in school and they are usually up only at night. I know they are darn cute but are pitiful if they are lonely or improperly cared for. I guess I am just trying to say that they require a large commitment of time, energy and money...make sure you have it to give.
