I woke up about 2:30am and walked into the living room to check on Gizmo. I had let him out of his cage to roam for the evening (as usual). When I walked into the room, the front door was WIDE OPEN! It is storming here in Houston pretty badly, and I did not check to make sure the door was locked before I retired. The same kind of panic that I experienced when I found Milo in the bathtub went through me. I went outside only to find a cat roaming around my appartment (nice kitty though). I looked for Gizmo and barked for him, stood out listening carefully for him. I just knew he was out there. Well, I finally gave up and decided that I would open all my windows and hope to hear him barking in the night. I came into the house with my head hung low and tears in my eyes, then I looked up and saw little Gizmo looking at me from the speakers. I was so happy to see him, I really cannot explain the joy and relief that swept through me. I walked up to him and right away he jumped onto me. This is the first time he has jumped to me, and it could not have been at a better time. I have had Gizmo for a little over a month now(since Milo died). The bonding process has taken a little longer with Gizzy, but there seems to be a stronger one developing. The amount of time spent with these unique pets is critical. And the bond that develops as a result of the time spent...priceless! Now that my baby is in his cage and frisky as ever, I am going to go to sleep.

Thanks for listening,
Cheri and Gizmo ~Q>
