I agree with you. I have always looked homes where I could have my pets. If pets weren't allowed, then I wouldn't be there.

Of course, I do understand developing allergies and having to get rid of a pet due to the inability to breath. We were forced to get rid of a cockatoo for that reason. After 6 months of having a beautiful, loving pet, I realized that I was using an inhaler 4 times a day if I was at home and not at all if I left the house. As much as I loved her, she had to go because she was severely impacting my health. Needless to say, I won't adopt or purchase a house bird ever again, it wouldn't be fair to the bird when it had to go in a few months because of my allergies.
