That's awful. I had to take my glider to the vet once... and it went pretty smoothly. The vet knew what she was talking about, and knew how to handle things. She was also very caring. No nurse or tech... just her. I hope she gets better soon, and I hope that when you do take her to the vet, it goes better than it did today.

Oh, one more thing.. what should a glider's body temp be? And how would be a good way to go about this? (Thsi is more of a curiosity than something I plan on doing myself...)

: Thanks for the input - I took Eos to a vet this morning and it was

: a horrible experience. They said they had experience with gliders,

: so we made an appointment and took her in, waited for the vet,

: etc. The tech came in and tried to take her temperature with a

: normal thermometer - it was awful. Finally he left and the vet

: came in and said that their exotic animal vet was not in today, so

: we would have to take her to the emergency vet (after them

: telling me they could treat her). By then, all other vets were

: closed, and that place doesn't treat gliders. I got some Pedialyte

: and juice and she is drinking that, but not much water. She did

: eat. I keeping a close eye in case we have to drive to Dallas or

: something to get help for her.
