We have gone a bit into how to take pets on a plane, and it has made me really curious as to how you guys feel about travel and lifestyle...and what impact that has on you.
For example- You have to check ahead with a vet to get a certificate of health...check with State and Wild Life of the state you are going to...check with planes and fees and/or policies regarding which pets are allowed on the plane...
If you can't have them go with you (ilegal) then you have to get them a sitter, but some have been known to die this way as well (not having people they know/familiarity, etc).
Has anyone found a way out of this problem? Has anyone found a way of introducing their gliders to sitters before hand, or had a newly introduced sitter work well while you went on a short vacation? How does having Sugars effect what you do for vacations? I have heard some people actually go so far as to cancel trips because they don't think their SG will make it, how do you feel about it?
(I want to thank everyone for helping me with my questions by the way. I know this is a forum, but my questions haven't been the easiest ones. Thanks everyone for your help:))
This is the last thing I have had to consider before making my decision..I know that they are the pet that I want, I am just trying to decide when it would be best to get one...there seems to be A LOT of emphasis on living arrangements. If you have kids for example..and now even if you see traveling in your future...I know that many of you aren't at a "settling down" point in your lives, (early to late twenties for example) so how do you handle it?:)
Thanks again:)
Mandy
