Night time is more THEIR time. The tighter the bond the more time you will have a mixture of both during the nighttime hours. In the wild, the night time is used for finding something to eat and scurrying about. During the day they sleep huddled together with their loved ones. Do all gliders bond well with their owners? well that depends on the glider and the owner. Each have their unique sets of personalities. Baybe spends more time with me in the evenings, than my hubbys' Smokey does him. It doesn't mean Smokey doesn't love, trust and isn't bonded to my hubby, it just means that he prefers the playtime out playing. He does check back in and play with him though. Whereas Baybe is very happy staying close to me. You have to decide what your version of a bond is. I would start small and accept any and all positive moves as being the best you can get. Allow them their playtime, if they come back to you, smile offer a treat, if they run off again , allow that..They will soon learn that they can come back to you without you trying to grab, hold or make them do things they don't want to. Make each experience a good one. : Good Luck..
