Subject: Fighting gliders

Two months ago we purchased another gilder to be a companion
with our first female glider. Both are females and are very tame
and usually friendly with each other. They sleep together and
groom each other readily when together in their nest. Our
original glider, however, becomes very dominant and bites
the newer, younger glider when they are out to play. The
older glider bites quite hard as if to injure the younger
female. We are afraid to leve them together all night for fear
that an injury will occur. They each have huge cages that
we intended to join once they were settled but that is not hapening
Does anyone have ideas on why this behavior is being displayed
by the older female? Could it be territorial?
