Hello,

I have a little boy and he is still quite young. I also spend quite a bit of time with him. I am going to get him a companion eventually. I cannot spend 24hours with him like a companion would. It does not matter weather you get a boy or a girl. I am going to get a girl because I want them to have 1 set of joeys, then I will neuter the boys, I will have one big happy family :) It is just my opinion that the gliders are happier all cuddled up together during the day. They are communial by nature, so I don't think I make up the appropriate "community". My glider is extremly happy and we are getting more and more bonded each day, but I just cannot take the place of another glider.

Sorry about the babbling on, I hope this helps,

p.s. have you had your little guy since he was a baby?

: I have a little boy sugar glider and he is nearing a year old now. I was wondering if he would need a companion for his mental health. I spend at least 2 hours playing with him and he seems pretty happy. I just want to know if anyone has successfully kept a happy sugar glider without it having a companion.
