Hi Mandy,

When I hold Gizmo during the day, I don't play with him or keep him awake, I just hold him while he sleeps. Although he wakes up a little when I pick him up, he goes right back to sleep in my hand. The little guys need their rest, it is important not to wake them up and keep them up. I wake the Gizzard up to play around 9pm or so, that is when I keep him up and feed him etc. Sorry about not having made that clear.

Everything you are doing is great! I know it is heart breaking to be rejected by your pet, but this is part of the work with the bonding process. Pele will soon get used to you, it sounds like she is really warming up! I bet she is extremly happy to have somebody that actually gives her attention.

YOU ARE A GREAT GLIDER MOMMY! :>)

: Really? You don't wake him up during the day?:) Ah that is great, I have been worried about that...A lot of people say they wake theirs up...but I dont have the heart. She sleeps so soundly with her little tail wrapped around her..
: (that I am afraid she will take my hand if I get that close while she is vulnerable) ah well....:)
: Whenever she is awake, I will feed her and talk to her...until it seems she doesn't want either anymore..I am hoping that after a few weeks of doing this that she will calm down and allow me to handle her and spend more time with her...Luckily I have not heard a "Glider Failure story"
: yet when it comes to taming the untame/neglected/abused, it should be okay:)
: Thanks for your reply, I love them:) It was VERY encouraging:)
