I know how terrible glider owners think about petshops. I have not ran across that many petstores that sell gliders but the ones I have, have kept them fairly nice. They were kept in large cages and clean. But you know what, a pet store will sell as long as they are allowed to. You know this, as long as they make money, they will sell. I know a few breeders that have petstores calling them to buy the gliders. Most breeders will not sell to the stores. But the breeders who only care about the money, will see to the store. Hopefully it is to a store that does care about the animals and treats them responsibly. This is only how I have seen things, I am not saying this is how it is.It is a sad situation, and if one person sees these posts and learns from them, we here have accomplished something.I don't know what can be done or said. But changing one persons way or one petstore can be better than none. Brienna ››››› : The pet store stories are infuriating. I have also seen the same things and some of the people that work in the stores are so ignorant and stubborn it's incredible. It makes me so angry that they are treating the little guys that way, there has to be something we can do. Pet stores should not be allowed to sell gliders. All of the ones I have seen in the stores are adults and mean as heck of course. The clerks all say, "we can't sell them because they are so mean." Well, DUH! I'd be mean too. They have absolutely no knowledge what so ever and the gliders are the ones suffering. It breaks my heart. I know how sweet and loving they can be. Is there anything at all that can be done. Some kind of legislation. Anything?
