I live in Indiana and every store clerk I have asked about gliders know nothing of them.Even the petstores.Everyone has asked, "what is it?" Most petshops just sell them and don't know much about them. Why are the breeders who sell to the store not informing them with info.? I know every petstore worker is not all cold-hearted about the animals and could tend to them properly IF they knew how. But, how? Shouldn't all petstore employees be knowlegeable about the animals they sell.Shouldn't they be. I think so.If we all here, just one day, and the time. Somehow print out care, info., diet, ect.. and make copies and give them to the stores (pet). Would that make a difference? Well, if I have the correct, up- to-date info. I will do it. Who knows, it could help.

: I am really kind of ticked. I just went to a pet store that had two sugargliders. They actually had them in a decent sized cage, but they didn't have a dark or even dim place to sleep. And the food they were giving them was canned fruit cocktail and cat food. I asked the store manager if she was aware that they were not providing a good diet and she said that they do just fine on that. I also mentioned that they should really have a dark place to sleep and she said that then people wouldn;t be able to see them and they wouldn't sell. I told her that by showing them like this, people are going to think that is how they should care for them. She didn't seem to think anything was wrong with that. Is there anything I can do or someone I can call. I would have bought them but that would just be encouraging them to get more to sell.
