Subject: Glider licking excessively underneath. Posted by Pablo on May 27, 1999 at 13:12:02: My glider is licking himself underneath all the time and now he's always wet and begining to loose some hair and smell. This is the second time he does this. Last time I had to put a collar on him for 14 days and apply medication because he had developed a smelly bacteria on the wet areas of his skin. He has a female mate, I keep the cage clean, I use none ink paper for bedding. He plays outside everyday and I do not think he has stress. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this behavior? I would hate to get him back on the collar.
